Coaching can be a big boost to both your performance and job/life satisfaction. But before you start working with a coach, you need to ask yourself whether you’re ready to do the work.
To truly reap the benefits of coaching, you must be able to tolerate discomfort and be open to experimentation. You’ll need to proactively embrace new ways of behaving, even if these approaches don’t come naturally to you. You also need to be ready and willing to take responsibility for your shortcomings, rather than blaming others. Deflecting responsibility will limit your growth; acknowledging your personal power will help pave the way for your self-development and lead to growth and satisfaction.
It is essential to ask for support when you need it. You’ll progress faster if you make yourself vulnerable to others, including your partner, boss, peers, and even direct reports. Share goals, ask for advice, listen with curiousity, and, most critically, accept and act on the constructive feedback you receive. When you make sure you’re ready for coaching, you help yourself get the most out of the coaching relationship. Choose a coach who demonstrates the experience, skills, and abilities you’re seeking to develop in your habits, behaviours, and self.
Gone are the days where leaders can afford the luxury of remaining conservative. As a business leader in today’s world, you must be passionate, visionary, understanding, inclusive, and empathetic. Leadership starts with you. Having the skills to lead and find direction in your own life is the first step in demonstrating your authenticity and proactive action to others.
Cohesion, collaboration, and accountability are key to building strong, productive, and efficient teams. Your company relies and thrives on well-adjusted individuals. I work with CEOs, leaders, and team members to help them become aware of individual personalities and team dynamics so they can weave these elements into a strong and thriving company culture.
At some point, we all need to take time to stop and reflect upon where we stand in our personal journeys. Sometimes the road ahead may seem easy, and sometimes we hit potholes that bump us into taking action. Each person, couple, and family is unique, so my coaching is unique to each client. Together, we will develop a life plan that is specific to you and your dreams.
No matter where in the world you reside, I can work with you virtually via Zoom or Skype.
